Hi,
can anyone recommend some places to stay in tromso in january?
we're planning to spend a few nights in the city and some nights a little outside.
any ideas?

Tromsø is a small town in which I would stay centrally - especially in winter. I stayed at Clarion The Edge, one of the new big hotels at the port and very close to the center. Was really satisfied with the stay.
Tips:
- Right around the corner of the hotel there is Kaffebønna Strandtorget with a remarkable good coffee.
- If you want to use public transport buses and need to buy the ticket on the bus you shall have cash with you.
- View from Fjellheisen is excellent.
