Western Norway

We are planning a 7 day trip to western Norway in early September. Here's how we plan to spend our time:

Day 1 - Leave Oslo and visit the Open Air Museum Then head to Lom for Night 1.
Day 2 - Stave Church and Geigeranger fjord. Night 2 in Lom
Day 3 - Leave Lom .Visit Nigard Glacier and Dale Church. Night 3 in Solvorn.
Day 4 - Visit Lustrafjord Night 4 in Aurland.
Day 5 - Sognefjord, Fjord Safari, Aurlandsfjors and Naeroyfjord
Day 6 and Day 7 - Bergen

I would appreciate any input you can offer. Am I staying places that are well located to see the beauty of the fjords? Am I staying the right number of nights in each location? Any other considerations? Are we trying to do too much on any one (or two or three!) days? Thank you!

I assume you have a car for this trip. We will be in Norway for 2 weeks in May 2020 and are splitting our time between Bergen, Alesund, Molde, Trondheim and Oslo. We are travelling everywhere by train/bus (and plane in and out of Bergen).

We will be using Alesund as our base for Geirangerfjord. We will also stay in Molde to do the Atlantic Road to Kristiansund.

Your day 5 looks busy - is this a Norway in a nutshell plan?

From Bergen we are planning to spend a day on the Hardangerfjord scenic route. We will do this by bus as we won’t have a car. Then two days in Bergen for museums and chilling out.
