weekend in stavanger

hi,
i arrive friday at like noon and leave monday. On saturday i plan on going to pulpit rock (anything else i should do in regards to lysefjord? if it matters, i have recently taken ferries on naeroyfjord and geiranger fjord and enjoyed both). Any suggestions on what else to fill the weekend with? I can see what trip advisor lists on the "15 things to do" page so I have an idea (petroleum musem seems interesting) but i definitely trust posters on this site more.
Thanks.

does anyone know the cheapest way to access pulpit rock and kjerag without a car?

it seems like for pulpit rock, i need to take a ferry from stavanger to tau and then take a local bus. But i can't find the departure times online. Anyone know where to find?

For Kjerag, are there any other options to this: https://gofjords.com/no/experiences/norway/stavanger/kjerag-express-bus-round-trip.519?startDate=2023-06-24&version=41&adults-0=1&childrenAges-0=

Thanks!

The petroleum museum is not a bad idea. But I'd also recommend having a few hours to just walk around the city, and don't miss the old town. The Maritime museum is also worth a stop. So is the cathedral, you'll probably walk by it anyway, so it's not a big detour to go inside.

For convenience and speed, I ended up taking the express busses from gofjords to both kjerag and pulpit rock. Much preferred the views from pulpit rock and it's an easier and closer hike! I also found time for a 3 hour cruise on the fjord and the canning museum and petroleum museum, both interesting, and did walk around the old town with their pretty white houses which remind me of colonial period houses in the US (where i'm from). The cathedral is currently closed for renovations sadly though you can still see it more or less from the outside. I also unfortunately missed the maritime museum (it closes so early at 4!). Overall though it was a nice weekend and I feel like I did a lot with a nice combination of nature and culture. Thanks everyone!
