I am interested in doing the Bryggen walking tour from the from Bryggens Museum that is recommended in Rick Steves book for Bergen. I have also found a "Walking Tour in Bergen of the Past and Present" that has good reviews on TripAdvisor. It seems like they may have some overlap but do cover different things in Bergen. Has anyone done these walking tours? If we did both, would this be a waste of time and money since they cover too much of the same information?
Bergen’s historic area is not large so I don’t see a need for a guide. A guide book, yes, to learn the history.
No need for a guide. The Bergen area is really small and can be done in a couple of days. Be sure to head up to Mount Floyen for some great views as well. You can walk or ride the funicular.
