All tours are full for 2024! Should we wait it out and for how long, or try another company like Globus? I understand that cancellations may happen 4 months before tours start. We are long time followers of Rick.

What about Odysseys Unlimited? They are small group tours. We did their Scandinavian tour with the Stockholm extension and it was great. We loved our guide as well.

I’ve had success using the waitlist. It’s cost free. Something could open up long before the four month period. Naturally, as a long term planner I would prefer to have things solidified as soon as possible.

I would contact the RS office and ask "how long is the wait list ?"
If you are flexible on your dates you can join several wait lists and improve your odds

Or you can book an independent trip, it's not hard to travel in Scandinavia on your own.

We have been on various waitlists over the years and have been able to eventually join every trip we were waitlisted on. And it was months before the actual trip, able to plan with plenty of time.
We went on a tour of Scandinavia many years ago (not RS however) and it was a wonderful trip and we learned so much that we would not have ever found on our own. We have also been on Globus tours which were good, but hotels are not always centrally located which having now done RS tours we like his tours much better. Just our experiences
