You have three choices:

1) Rental car/taxi

2) Train to Myrdahl, Flambasa train to Flam.

3) Slower but scenic.....bus to Gudvangen, ferry to Flam.

Are you trying to do Norway in a Nutshell?

Are you trying to do Norway in a Nutshell or just go from place to place?

Norway in a Nutshell is train from Bergen to Voss. Bus from Voss to Gudvangen. Ferry From Gudvangen to Flam. Flambasa train from Flam to Myrdahl. Train from Myrdal to Oslo.

If you skip the ferry, you are missing some of the most beautiful scenery on this route.

The bus from Voss to Gudvangen is the #950. You can get the schedule hereL

I have booked Norway in a Nutshell tickets on my own from Bergen to Voss, including the Naeroyfjord cruise from Gudvangen to Flam, but have been unable to book a bus ticket from Voss to Gudvangen. I tried the websites and the apps for Skyss.no, Reise.skyss.no and Vy.no. Will it be okay to just arrive and get on the bus and pay there? I am worried the bus might be full and then we would miss our ferry in Gudvangen. Alternatively, has anyone gotten a taxi from Voss station to Gudvangen ferry terminal? Since there will be 3 of us it might cost the same for a taxi, but I am not sure if a taxi would take us that far with no advanced notice. Thank you for your help.

Don't worry about the bus. You buy the ticket from the driver.

You will see the buses lined up. Once one is full, the next one takes its place.

I just paid the driver. No issue at all.

Taking a town-to-town taxi in Norway--that would be an issue, a financial issue. I don't know that you'd find a taxi in that area; I know I wouldn't want to pay for it if it exists.
