We'll be staying in Tromso, March 8-13.
The main goal of the trip is to see the Northern Lights, at the top of my wife's bucket list. I booked a small group tour for the evening of the 10th.
What else should we do there? Should we rent a car and drive around, and if so, where should we drive?
Not really on a tight budget.
There is a Fretex store in Tromsø. I’d put it on your list even if you aren’t usually a shopper. Fretex is the Salvation Army Thrift Store of Norway. Stores often have amazing sweaters and textiles for a mere fraction of the usual cost.
