Trollheimen triangle

I am trying to fly down from lofoten islands to try and get to this three day hiking route. (Fully service lodges with out large backpacks) Don’t want to rent a car since I will be hiking the area. Which airport should I fly into to make a easy transfer to start. When I’m done is there any easy way to get to The innedalen valley area. (Bus..?) this area looks amazing and I want to do an easy day hike to see as much as possible. After that we do plan to make it to the next largest area (airport) to rent a car to continue our journey. Would Kristiansund/ Molde be a good place to rent a car to see Geirangerfjord and Loen Or is there a town large enough somewhere else? We are more budget travelers just trying to see Norway with some hiking along the way.
Planning this for late summer 2022.

Trondheim is probably the closest major airport to Trollheimen. But another, more scenic option is to take the ferry from Lofoten to Bodø and then the train to Trondheim.

Hei!

Go to ENTUR and look for public transport. Just use google maps and find small towns you need to take the bus to, and enter them into ENTUR. For instance Ålvundeid (Innedalen)..

I hope this helps,
