Trip to Norway - June 2025

We are planning a trip to Norway at the end of June 2025. I would like some feedback on our itinerary and ask for any advice.

Sun. 6/22: Bergen - arrive mid-afternoon
Mon. 6/23: Bergen - Mount Floyen, Viking Boat Tour?
Tue. 6/24: Bergen - Bryggen...city tours?
Wed. 6/25: Ferry - Bergen to Aurland...travel to Laerdal
Thu. 6/26: Laerdal - Borgund Stave Church, Kings Road, Kayaking?
Fri. 6/27: Flam train to Myrdal. I'm not sure I understand the port information. https://www.flamport.no/arrival-list. Do we want to tour Flam or hop right on the train and head to Myrdal?

Train Myrdal to Oslo
Sat. 6/28 Oslo - still working on plans in Oslo
Sun. 6/29 Oslo
Mon. 6/30 Oslo
Tue. 7/1 Depart for home

Would greatly appreciate any and all advice on things to see and do in these areas. Thanks!

We spent a couple weeks in Norway in 2023. After cruising along the West Coast with Hurtigruten, we spent 2 nights in Bergen.

We took a 2 hour walking tour with I Love Bergen that included the fortress and Bryggen. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to Mount Floyen due to the weather.

Regarding Flåm, there is not much to the town itself. It is really a transportation hub for the ferry and railway.

6/27: with listed 184 passengers the ship is small enough that you can enjoy Flåm before taking the train to Myrdal, e. g. taking a fjord cruise and back by bus.

What does "family to pick up and travel to Laerdal" mean concretely on 6/25?

Other stuff looks fine. You could use 2 days (1 of Oslo and 1 of Bergen) to explore Hardangerfjord area before traveling to Flåm / Aurland by bus or train - in this case not via ferry from Bergen which is imo OK when you see parts of Hardangerfjord and take the Naeroyfjord cruise.

We took a cruise up the coast of Norway last July and it was glorious. Bergen was a lovely stop even though the streets were jam packed with tourists. To escape the crowds, we walked the back streets behind the harbor, all the way up to the tippy top. The back streets were incredibly and wonderfully steep, and filled with gorgeous little white wooden houses and flowers. We saw children playing, painters painting, people taking their groceries home via electric bicycles… just people living their lives which was so much fun to see. The views from the top were fantastic. One of our favorite days!
