Hello fellow travelers. Husband and I will fly into Bergen in late July for 3 nights. Then fly to Aalesund. We have planned to stay in Aalesund for two nights, rent a car and pick two bases for lodging for the next five nights. Because we are late in planning, options are limited. Looking for two bases that would @llow day trips with less than 3-4 hours driving, some mild easy hiking, perhaps kayaking. I’ve found available lodging in Andalsnes for 3 nights and last two nights in Hjelle returning car @nd getting flight in the afternoon of that final day out of Aalesund. Would you please comment on the plan as well as opinions on using these two areas as a base. We are in our 70s and prefer slow travel to going nonstop. Thanks for any input or other location suggestions you might have.
