travelling from London to Bergen

We will be flying from LHR to Bergen. Most flights have a layover. I am wondering how much time will be needed to go through customs or if we will need to go through customs (non -EU citizens).

Thanks

Norwegian Air.Shuttle flies non-stop from Gatwick into Bergen--cheap.
That city has the tallest, blondest, most beautiful people you will ever see. We loved visiting in great weather one September weekend.

Depends where you change planes (layover). If it is in a Schengen Area country (and it almost certainly is), then immigration (passport control) for the Schengen Area will take place there. There will be no further passport control when you land in Norway (but the airline will check your passport to see it matches the ticket).
For a direct flight (previous post), immigration will take place when you land.

Customs is the check on the contents of your luggage. This will take place after your luggage is returned to you at your final destination (Bergen). But, this is a random check only, 95%+ of people are not stopped.

As well as Norwegian Air Shuttle from London Gatwick, there are flights to Bergen from Manchester and Aberdeen, if that is more convenient.

The plan is to fly from heathrow to Bergen via Oslo, even though there are direct flights from gatwick we thought it less stressful to not try to get to gatwick from heathrow after an overnight flight. There are layovers of 1 to 2 hours. I’m wondering If an hour is enough time to make the connection.

Oslo is a fairly small airport so if that's where your connection is, an hour should be sufficient.
