Transportation options Flam to Aurland 8/26

Hi-
I need help confirming transportation Flam to Aurland, Aug 24, train arrival 20:30. I see that the last shuttle bus departs at 20:35. Norways Best states the departure location is bus stop A/B by the Flam Visitor Center and Entur states departure fro mFalm Station.

From what I can see, both are talking about the A/B Bust stop which is a 2 min walk from Flam Station. Correct?

If, for some unlikely event, we should miss that bus, what are my options? Uber?

Thanks you

Wendy

I got helpful advice and links in the responses when I posted a similar question earlier here:

This local travel guide posted details about getting between towns on her site (including a local taxi company, with their phone # - she notes it's best to book early since there are only a couple cars)

Do you mean 8/24 or 8/26 ? You have different dates in your title and your text.

It is a 12 minute connection at Myrdal (so unless the train from Oslo is very late) the Flam train should leave on time. Then the train has 3 minutes recovery time between Lunden (what you might call Flam Village station) and Flam- it is timetabled to take 6 minutes, when it only takes 3, if that.
With the last 4 stops (including Lunden) being request stops the train should be early if anything, assuming the request stops are not required by locals or (unusually) tourists. The chance of all 4 stations being required has to be effectively zero.
There is a reasonable chance of arriving at about 2022.

Try and be at the front end of the train, which is due to arrive at Platform 4, walk off the end of the platform, turn left (with the Visitor Centre straight in front of you) and the signposted stop is on your right, opposite a bus parking lot.

So it's two ways of describing the same place.

The bus is deliberately running in connection with that train, so it really should wait if the train is a bit late for some reason.

I suppose if really worried you could contact Norways Best, and ask for a hold on the bus, if required, but I don't see the need, personally.

To answer your question, if for some reason you missed your bus, you would need to take a taxi to Aurland. Be aware that you will probably need to call for the taxi. Unless something has changed recently, Uber does not operate in the area.

Thank you all for the response. I did pruchase tickets for the bus and now, having clarifiation on the location of the bus stop and the likelyhood of the train arriving early makes me feel calmer! Thanks you agin!

Since Norway's Best operates both the bus and the train, I would email them this question. Have a wonderful trip!

Norway's Best do not operate the train and have no role in it's operation, that is Vy.

Norway's Best just block book certain departures- those which connect with their boats to and from Gudvangen.
