Transport from airport to boat terminal

Hi everyone,

We are scheduled to arrive at the Bergen airport at 1:30 p.m., and need to find an expeditious transport to the Strandkaiterminal to board a Fastboat to Balestrand at 4:30 p.m. Does anyone have a suggestion about transport options between the airport and the boat terminal? If a cab is the only sensible way to go, what kind of fare can we expect to pay? Thanks,

Jeff

Strandkaiterminal looks pretty centrally located on Bergen harbor. The airport bus takes 30 minutes. The closest stop is at the Tourist Information Office at the Fish Market. Rick's book says that you need to request the stop when you board.

I was just in Bergen last year and needed to go between the airport and town. I highly recommend using the Flybussen. It's a bus service that runs between several stops in Bergen and the airport, about 25 minutes from town. You can catch it just outside the arrivals terminal and it takes you straight to the center. You can either buy a ticket in advance or just buy it from the driver (cash only). You can tell the driver where you need to go and he will tell you where you should get off. It's super easy and comfortable - way cheaper than a taxi! You'll get off at the fishmarket stop and just walk a short distance down the left-hand side of the harbor (as you're facing it) to the Strandkaiterminal. Easy peasy.
