My sister and I would like to take the train from Trondheim to Oslo at the end of our May 2026 trip in Norway. Can anyone give us suggestions to online train ticket purchases: which website is official, what we need to be aware of, and any other helpful information?

I don't know if this is still an issue. But, in 2023 vy.no was not accepting US credit cards. We had to pay for our tickets with PayPal.

I took this trip last week. I booked directly with Vy a few months ago and paid with my credit card. Absolutely no problems. The trip, BTW, is truly spectacular, almost beyond anything that you can imagine. We sat in first class (Premium Plus), which was worth the pricey fare. Everything in Norway is expensive but worth it.
