We are taking the Havila ship up the coast of Norway, where it stops in Trondheim for 3 hours. When I was 10 years old, my family took the Hurtigruten and I have fond memories of visiting the Ringve Music Museum. However, there isn't an excursion that includes that. So, we are looking for a local guide that can get us there for a quick visit and back. Or should we just go to the Cathedral instead? We welcome some advice.
If you just want to get to the museum and back, the easiest is probably to take a taxi.
One of the best places to visit in Trondheim is Kristiansten Fortress.
I am not a fan of churches but the Cathedral was very impressive.
We walked all over town easily and took a bus to get the Cathedral. When you get off the ship, you should see tourist office or kiosks with city maps. No tour nor guide is needed.
