Time in Flam and train from Mydal to Oslo

We are going from Bergen to Oslo via the Nutshell Route and staying in Flam for one night in mid July

Trying to decide between 10:02 departure or 13:52 from Flam to Oslo - are there sights to see in Flam before we leave for the train or should we take the 10:02 train?
Are the Plus seats on the train worth the extra $$$.
Which stop do we select in Oslo? We are staying at the Hotel Christiania Teate

As indicated by MarkK's video link, there are lots of beautiful outdoor experiences to be had around Flam. The simplest would be hiking. If you aren't interested in sporty activities like that and have already scheduled the Naeroyfjord ferry trip between Gudvangen and Flam, there's not a lot to occupy your time in Flam itself. The little museum about the building of the Flamsbana is worth perhaps an hour, but Oslo has a lot to offer, museum-wise.
