What is the total time for the Oslo-Flam-Gudvangen-Voss-Oslo (NiN #1406)? What is the earliest departure from Oslo? Is it possible to do the Oslo NiN roundtrip in 9 hours? My guess is it isn't but I'd like to know on way or the other.

The train one way between Oslo and Voss is about 6 hours, and that's direct without detours to Flam and Gudvangen, so round trip in 9 hours is clearly not possible.
There are early trains out of Oslo to Voss, I think 6:25 am is the earliest.

The outbound train departs Oslo S 8:25 arriving Myrdal with transfer to the Flåm line continuing by boat then bus etc. The overnight return departs Bergen at 22:59 and arrives Oslo S 6:25 the next day.
That puts the Oslo S door to door time at 22 hours. Given that the Bergen to Oslo S one-way takes 8:26, it is not possible to do an Oslo S to Bergen NIN return trip in 9 hours.
