We will be staying in Sogndal at the beginning and end of a cycling trip. If we rented a car at the airport for a half day are there hikes or other interesting things to see within a half hour to an hour’s drive? (Taking the boat down to Bergen the next day.)

I'm not sure of the driving time, but these places are in that general area:
- Stave churches at Kaupanger and Solvorn
- Book village in or near Fjaerland
- Boyabreen glacier NW of Fjaerland
No doubt there are some very scenic spots and/or scenic viewpoints close to Sogndal. You might have luck with the Search function. I know a few people here have rented cars in that area.
