Staying in Barcode Project section of Oslo?

I have found what looks to be an amazing apartment on Airbnb. It is located in the Barcode Project section of Oslo. Does anybody out there know anything about this area and whether you recommend staying there? It looks like a very funky, fun area, in a great location. But not knowing Oslo, I can't be certain without all the wisdom out there.

So, what do you think?

Thanks!

Leslie

It's new (redeveloped industrial/dockland to residential). Looks convenient to the Oslo S but I have only stayed in the central area on the other side of the Oslo S.

This is a very interesting part of the city...lots of very progressive architecture near the spectacularly designed opera house. I was there this summer and spent time wandering around the area and photographing the buildings.
If you want old, classic Oslo then this isn't the place to stay but if you don't mind something different then I would give it a try!
Oslo is so small and the trams are so good that it really doesn't matter too much where you lay your head at night!
