Stay in Floro Norway (Quality Hotel)?

We are planning to visit the fjords for four nights in mid August, and trying to decide where to stay. One option that seemed a decent deal was the Quality Inn Floro for $151 per night.

Is this a nice location for exploring the area? Anywhere else someone would recommend? Thanks!

  • Runde bird island closer to Ålesund but mid of August some birds might have disappeared.
  • From Florø port you could continue your journey by Hurtigruten ship. By taking northbound ship you can overnight on board and drive on ship into Geirangerfjord before disembarking the ship in Ålesund in the evening.
