Stavanger - what to do for one day here

We will be in Stavenger in September of 2023. Has anyone any advice on what to do on a day trip there?

We stayed in Stavanger for two days in September 2022. One day we went on a Lysefjord cruise - the boat goes to the base of pulpit rock as seen being scaled by the diminutive Tom Cruise in one of the Mission Impossible films. The other day we went to the white houses area - old timber houses where fishing people used to live - now look to be mostly Airbnbs and the petroleum museum which was surprisingly "green" and apologetic about the exploitation of fossils fuels.

Nothing surprising about the billions, upon billions of dollars that were infused into the Norwegian economy by the state-owned oil company. That on-going source of revenue provides endless social services to citizens of Norway.
