We'll be staying at Eplet Hostel in Solvorn in a couple of weeks, and we're wondering about the recommended restaurant options in Solvorn or nearby. In particular, we need a good place to get breakfast before boarding the 9am ferry at Kaupanger.

We stayed at Eplets several years ago. The only real restaurant was at the Walalker Hotel. There might be others by now. We did have a very nice dinner there but for breakfast purposes I would go to the local convenience store. I don't remember its name or exact location but it's very close by and has everything you need for a simple meal. Just pick up what you need the night before and you'll be good to go. Alternatively, stop in Sogndal on your way to Kaupanger. It's a fairly big town and there are definitely cafes there.
