We are arriving in Bergen in June, is the drive along the fjord with car ferry rides as scenic as the Norway in a nutshell ferry ride?

It's not likely to be the same but it is likely be interesting. (The most scenic part of the Norway-in-a-Nutshell is in the Nærøyfjord to/from Gudvangen, where the hillsides are high and close.) Try https://www.visitnorway.com/places-to-go/fjord-norway/bergen/ for some possible route ideas.

The car ferry Gudvangen – Kaupanger is an option.
