Sognefjord in a nutshell vs traditional nutshell (Ausland and Naeroy fjords)?

I have a couple of days departing from Bergen the second week of October for the fjords. Which is better as far as nutshell trips through fjordtours, Sognefjord in a nutshell or the traditional nutshell trip? The former has more time on the water, and they both are the same between Flam and Oslo. Will break up the trip to 2 days since there will be less light then. Thanks for the guidance.

I have only taken the traditional Norway in a Nutshell route, with two nights in Flam along the way, but based on the reading I did before my trip last year, I have a strong preference for that itinerary instead of Sognefjord in a Nutshell. I don't think the express boat from Bergen to Balestrand or Flam is a good substitute for the Flam-Gudvangen ferry through the Naeroyfjord. I've read that a lot of the fjord traversed by the express boat is so wide you don't get the same fjord effect as in the very narrow and highly scenic Naeroyfjord. The bus trip from Gudvangen to Voss (or vice versa) is also nice, though it doesn't follow the same route as in the past due to some fairly recent road damage.

I believe Balestrand is a very nice place to stay, however.
