Sogndal to Geiranger bus

We’re thinking about taking the Sognefjord & Nærøyfjord in a nutshell with UNESCO fjord bus from Sogndal to Geiranger. We can then add an hour and half fjord tour of the Geirangerfjord. Has anyone done the bus trip from Sogndal to Geiranger? If so, is the four hour bus ride from Sogndal to Geiranger and back again the next day worth the hour and half Geirangerfjord tour? Thanks
