Scenery from Bergen

Greetings and TIA for any help offered. I will be taking the RS Scandinavia Tour in June. I have just started to do my research. The tour ends in Bergen and it seems like there is lots of great scenery there besides the Sognefjord cruise and Jotunheimen which are on the tour. While I await the arrival of a tour guide I purchased (will arrive in Oct after the latest version is published) I was wondering about how to see some of the scenery when I stay on a few extra days after the tour. I did look at some "cruises" but found them a bit overwhelming and will have to sort them out to make sense of them. Does anyone have any recommended cruises, day trips or "must see" scenery near Bergen? I would be open to several 1 day trips or a slightly longer 2-3 day cruise or something. Again, any help is appreciated.

How about a bus down to Stavanger? From Stavanger you can do
the Preikestolen hike or take a cruise on the Lysefjord.

Here's a tourist's video from the Preikestolen hike: http://youtu.be/eLt2QFEj4y8
If that sounds too strenuous, then I'd do the cruise instead.

The bus Bergen - Stavanger goes on ferries along the way, so it would be an extremely scenic trip. You can fly onward from Stavanger if you haven't already booked your tickets. If you've already booked tickets home from Bergen, you can easily fly back to Bergen (the night before your flight home) on SAS or Norwegian for about $100.

Many thanks. I started doing my homework even though the trip is a long time away. Really looking forward to seeing some of the fjords etc. in Western Norway.
