Has anyone travelled from Bergen to Sunde or Sandvoll, Vestland, Norway? If so, please share any advice. Is it possible to make a day trip of it? and could we take our own car? If not, any suggestions on places to stay for one night? Many thanks!!

I was not visiting these two places so far - I was on the other fjord side in Skånevik (ferry from Utåker). There is a remarkable private tech museum which is lovely arranged and like a time travel through the last century of Norwegian history.

Another option for a 1 night day trip are Norheimsund or Utne including Hardanger Folkemuseum. See Hardanger scenic route.
