While I'm in Bergen in February, I would like to enjoy eating at a restaurant with preferably some Norwegian dishes on the menu. Any suggestions in the Bryggen area would be appreciated.

Pingvinen (The Penguin) Bar and Restaurant.
Not in Bryggen, but nearby and easily walkable. Go early for dinner as they may not take reservations. You could call and check if they take reservations when there.

I see that their website does not work, but they have recent Tripadvisor reviews posted in November and December 2021. Probably best to try calling them at the number shown on Tripadvisor webpage.
We are planning to be in Bergen in June and hope to have dinner here. We had two great dinners at this place a few years ago and also recommended it to friends who enjoyed their dinner.

We just returned from Bergen and can confirm that Pingvinen restaurant is open and as good as we remembered from our trip 8 years ago. It is a small, neighborhood restaurant. Menu includes typical Norwegian dishes and they have a number of local beers on tap.
The restaurant is mentioned in Rick’s book, but most patrons seemed to be locals. Suggest you make reservations if going at peak times.
