So we are renting an E Car for 2 weeks while in Norway. Bergen to Sognefjord to Eidfjord to Stavanger then back to Bergen. Any advice for charging an E-Car? I hear there are charging stations galore, but that there are multiple providers each of which need their own app to operate. Car will likely be a Volkswagon (not a Telsa) so am a little confused on how to handle all this as both a foreigner and E-car newbie. Is there an app (in English) that tracks charging stations in Norway? Also I am told: Most of the public charging points activate, rather handily, with an RFID card. What is an RFID card? I am excited but also a little nervous. Any help (or reassurance) is appreicated.
Can’t answer your question about charging locations, but an RFID card is a contactless credit card (one that works when you ”tap” it). Your card is contactless if it has a wifi symbol on it.
This shows what the symbol looks like:

A modern electric car usually has a pretty good range, so the easiest is probably to charge it overnight. A good place to find charging stations is https://chargemap.com/map, although as a 3rd party site you should not count on it to be 100% accurate.
RFID is a technology used for short range electronic communication in a number of ways. In this case it probably means a small plastic tag that is used to activate the charging station. But it can also be a credit card or a phone. For more details you should probably ask the rental company.
If you plan to drive in July / August you shall be aware that some hotels have chaging stations but only a few. Locals travel too in that time with their e-cars. So finding free charging stations at hotels can become an issue.
If you use a car and want to enter cities such as Bergen or Trondheim you shall install and use EasyPark app for city parking.
At one point, I was thinking of renting an e-car but then changed my mind since I've never driven one (and didn't want a rental to be my first experience). I ended up with a hybrid (good alternative). I did find this website, though, about charging e-cars in Norway and maybe it will be helpful for you: https://elbil.no/the-ultimate-ev-tourist-guide-to-norway/
