Reasonable Accommodations for a family of 5 in Oslo

You need to specify a price range according to what you consider reasonable. One person's reasonable is another person's expensive or cheap.

Look up the rates at the Raddison Blu Oslo. The hotel is near the tram and train station and was very reasonable.

Check out the Thon chain of hotels. Nice rooms, breakfast included (some also include a light dinner in the price). We stayed at the Thon Opera in Oslo and liked the location, next door to the train station and opera house. If you sign up for their loyalty club (free), you get an extra percent off when making reservations.

Look for an apartment. There are lots listed on booking.com or you could check out Airbnb. Oslo has great public transit so being central is not necessarily a priority.

If budget is critical, the Oslo Youth Hostel Haraldsheim is a tram ride from downtown and offers family/private rooms.

reached by tram or local train. It is an ideal starting point for
hikes in the neighbouring woodlands - summer and winter alike.

The hostel has 270 beds in 71 rooms. Most of them are 4-bedded, but

rooms are Ensuite. Other rooms have hot and cold running water. Some
of the rooms are suitable for physically disabled guests.
