Question re: Geiranger accomodations

So we are planning a Norway adventure on June 2025..

Our itinerary takes us from Jorpeland (Pulpit Rock) to all the way to Atlantic Ocean Drive. On the way, we would be spending one night on each villages/cities/towns.. Jorpeland, Ullensvang, Laerdal, Hjelle...etc..

When it comes to Geiranger - we would like to spend 2 nights there.. but the accommodations are limited, and they are the most expensive part of this trip.. if I can't find optimal accommodations in Geiranger, any alternative towns that are close by for two nights?? which area offer the optimal locations for easy parking, convenient to trollstigen and view points..

One point is, we will eventually be heading up the Atlantic Ocean Road after Gerianger, and will be back tracking back to Geiranger on our way back to Bergen airport..
So if I can stay 2 nights in one part of Geiranger and 1 night in different part of Geiranger to get different experiences would be optimal.

thank you in advance for input..

I loved the cabin we stayed in at Hole Hytter. The view was incredible!

Hello mnannie

I just looked up the hole hytter. This is first time I’m hearing about it. I rely on Airbnb, bookings and cap1 travel platforms and none have this listing. Just curious how’d you come across it. And which cabin do you recommend reserving?
The website is little clunky and I’m not sure how secure it is registering my credit card on an unsecured platform..was it hard to reserve via the website?
There are no reviews on site, so not sure of the quality. It says you have to pay extra for bedding and towels and there are cleaning fees… can you enlighten me little bit in this? Thank you mnannie

Hello mnannie

We finally booked it on Hole Hytter. I never would've found the place w/o your recommendation.
I did some research, and yes, it was listed in Bookings (but slightly higher price) - and it had 9.2 rating on it..
We booked the one bedroom unit (better view, no bunk bed)... I was surprised, they didn't ask for credit card information for the reservation.. we did receive the email confirmation, though..

Thank you for the recommendation.. it does look amazing..

We had a bench in front of our cabin with a clear view of the fjord. It wasn't fancy, but our cabin was clean, and it was great to have the cooking facilities and the fridge. We rented the bedding, too.

We stayed here when we went to the Atlantic Ocean Road. We splurged for the dinner (which was very nice).

We also stayed in Jorgeland. Don't miss walking over the bridge to Jørpelandsholmen. We use booking.com to reserve the unit title, "Modern apartment in the Harbour of Jørpeland." The bus to Pulpit Rock stopped right across the street.
