Public transport help in Oslo?

Greetings fellow travelers,
We’re currently in Norway and headed to Oslo tomorrow via train from Myrdal. Once we arrive, we need to get ourselves to the Thon Storo hotel, which seems to be about 30 minutes from the center of Oslo using public transportation. My question is, is there a superior way to get there (Vitaminveien 23) from the central station? The Ruter website shows several options. Is it cheaper to use one versus another (such as tram, metro, or bus)?

Also, for 3 days going back and forth between our hotel and the center, is there a transition pass that can save us some money? Are there discounts for seniors?

The hotel website shows their location as being
500 m to the Oslo Metro
450 m to the tramway
450 m to the Airport Express Coach
1 km to Grefsen train station (Gjøvikbanen)

But which of these is the most handy and/or frugal for a typical tourist?

Any advice you can share will be most appreciated. Thank you!

Look at the Ruter website/App. The fare on all but the Airport coach is 44Kr each way, 22 Kr for those over 67.
There are 1 day and 7 day passes for unlimited travel in Zone 1, which is you-
366 Kr or 184 Kr (over 67) for 7 days, 132/67 for 24 hours, so it depends how many 44/22 Kr journeys you plan to take each day.
Three or more puts you in profit on the 7 day pass.

Thank you, isn31c and g3rrycee, this helps! The ruter app seems like a good way to go. We each installed it and bought the 7-day ticket. It’s already been very convenient to use. We decided against the Oslo pass since we don’t necessarily plan to visit enough museums and sites to make it worth it, but it was good to evaluate for planning purposes.
Thanks again!
