Hi. Its been a dream to stay in a glass igloo or a log cabin and experience snowfall and additional activities , learn about the local culture. This time i plan to travel to Norway or Finland ( visited Lapland 2 years ago and loved it) with my 2 adult daughters in January 2026. The duration of our travel will be roughly 7 days give or take 2 days. One half of the trip is to stay in a log cabin/glass igloo; the other half of our trip is to experience the scenic beauty, churches, etc. I would like to stay in 2 separate towns in the same country. Not interested in Northern lights. Also not too expensive. Any suggestions please ?

Churches: do you mean stave churches or stone-build ones, e. g. Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim?
In January you will have very short daylight times.

Tip: a coastal ship can transport you between Trondheim and Kirkenes. Providers are Hurtigruten and Havila.

I gave you a couple of suggestions the last time you asked the same question, those are still valid. Do you have any additional questions?
Regarding coastal ferries, they are not very useful for you. If you want snow, you should avoid the coastal areas.
