PLanning trip to Norway (and side trips to Stockholm and Copenhagen) in Oct.

What kind of jacket would be best for me to travel with
Jacket and shoes for that matter.

I understand it will start to get colder and probably rain a lot? The week of Columbus Day. I have a patagonia hooded puffy jacket that held up well in Japan in February but it wasn't raining a lot there.

Hi there, Not sure how you experience cold, but here are my suggestions - I would add a waterproof Gore tex rain coat to wear over the puffer coat should work well, And waterproof boots, I wear Merrills. People dress very casually in Scandinavia for the weather, you will see lots of people wearing trainers and boots. If you're planning on taking ferries for example to do Norway in a Nutshell, personally I would add water proof pants that you pull on over pants.

A light wind- and waterproof jacket and layers underneath would be my suggestion.
