I stayed in the old part of the Kviknes hotel and absolutely adored it.

Another vote for the HISTORIC portion of Kvikne's Hotel. Splurge and book a room with a view of the fjord - you will remember that view (we were there 15 years ago!) long after the Visa bill has been paid off.

The historic portion of the Kviknes Hotel is beautiful and our room overlooking the fjord was enormous. The newer building is where they put the tour groups.
