Oslo to Bergen Train With a Stopover

I'm planning a Norway In a Nutshell trip for June 2023. Our plan is to take the train from Oslo to Myrdal, Flamsbana train to Flam, the ferry to Gudvangen and the bus to Voss. We'll arrive in Voss about 6pm and pick up a car.

We'll drive to Balestrand and spend the night. The afternoon of the next day we'll drive to Solvorn and stay at the Walaker Hotel for one night. The following day we'll take a leisurely drive back to Voss via Laeteral Tunnel Aurland.

My question is: do I need to book two rail tickets ... Oslo to Myrdal and Voss to Bergen? Or, is it possible to book a 2+ day layover in Voss and possibly save money?

Just wondering. Thanks.

Check very carefully on that car rental plan. Is the agency going to be open late enough for you on both pick-up day and drop-off day? The days of the week may be a factor.

Badger, Thanks for the info. I thought that would be the case but I wasn't sure.

Acraven, In a post a few months back I learned from another user that the Hertz car rental in Voss would allow after hour pickup and drop off (for an added fee, of course). I have already made our car reservation in Voss to accommodate our schedule
