Our family of 3 are going to Norway for 1 week. We are flying into Oslo on June 30 and home from Bergen a week later on July 7. We are hoping to rent a car and make stops along the way. We thought about doing an inclusive nutshell tour but decided to rent a car because we will have luggage plus my sons goalie hockey equipment with us which is a lot.
I know we want to see the Fjords and take the train in Flam but not sure what else we should put on our list. We would like to see some of the top sights but don't want to overbook ourselves either. Any recommendations?
My sons birthday is on July 2, he will be 17, and we would love to do something special on that day.
Would also appreciate recommendations on where to stay along the way. Open to hotels or unique experiences as long as they don't cause us to go broke.
