Hello everyone? We will be taking a cruise on Northern Europe next August. On of our stops it's gonna be Oslo. Is it possible to take any tour to see the fjords?
To put it short, no. The scenic fjords are on the atlantic coast and Bergen is a better destination for fjord cruises.
I think there's a tour of Oslofjord, but this probably isn't the type of fjord you had in mind. As Morten from Copenhagen noted (hey, that was a key character in the original "The Killing"!), the spectacular scenery you had in mind is on the Atlantic coast, the better part of a day's travel to the west.
If arrive by boat anyway, you will see the Oslo Fjord and then there is no need to take an extra trip for that. The Oslo Fjord is nice, but nothing compared to the western fjords.
Tom i did'nt know there was a Morten in the original 'Killing'. I think i was one of the only ones who did'nt see it. I was travelling in Australia when it aired and when i came back i thought it was an actual killing everyone was talking about.
