Oslo City Hall

We will be visiting Olso in early September. I was sad to learn the free guided tours are only offered June-August so we miss that opportunity by a few days. While they offer a way to sign up for paid guided tours, they are intended for groups of 30 and we are just 2 so the cost is prohibitive. I looked for a private/paid tour group including the City Hall interior but couldn't find any.

Is it possible to enter the City Hall building and see any of the murals and art work on your own?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

OK - so we can get into the building and then use Rick's guidebook to help tour/understand what we are seeing? I'm just a bit confused about what we will be able to access/see on our own.

Thanks!

Yes, free to visit during business hours and definitely worth a visit. You can
visit the main hall which has several murals and see some rooms upstairs.
Also some stuff on the outside of the building as well.

If you are on that side of Oslo, the National Museum is close by as well.
