Will it be possible to do this hike in august. Looks like there are not as many boats as usual so wondering just how to get this done. Would like to leave from gudvangen. Can I just do it one way or do I need to return to the drop off local again. Renting a car in Bergen at 9:00 and will drive there.

By the way: August is not August in Norway. While beginning is end of summer, end is start of autumn.
