The Nordmarka (north forest of Oslo) is easily reached by the T-bane metro T-1 line. Transit planner: https://ruter.no/en/
The Norwegians seem to be keeping the Nordmarka secret by not having an English page but you can use Google Translate to get the essence of Nordmarka activities: https://www.aktivioslo.no/guide/oslomarka/nordmarka/
Nordmarka includes skiing during the white season including lighted trails, and hiking during the green season.
A good source of Statens Kartverk topo maps and information is the Oslo DNT office at Storgata 5 (half block from the Oslo Domkirke Cathedral, a 5 minute walk from the Oslo S train station). https://www.dntoslo.no/

I've skied in to the Skjennungstua Hytte from Frognerseteren, the last T-1 stop. Apparently you can hike in or mountain bike to the hytte for a Norwegian waffle and coffee. http://fiveandspice.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/tfm2.jpg
Ruter website seems to be off-line. Ruter is the Oslo public transit authority:

Bus strike seems to have been averted:
http://www.newsinenglish.no/2016/05/05/no-bus-strike-but-more-hotels-hit/
No bus strike but more hotels hit May 5, 2016 Negotiators for unions
representing bus drivers and the organization representing their
employers managed to avert a major strike on Thursday, after eight
hours of overtime talks. There’s still no sign of settlement in the
nationwide strike by hotel and restaurant workers, though, and it’s
set to spread even more next week.
