Hi
I m stuck with car option as below
We begin in Copenhagen ( stay 4n ) with car to do 2 days trip , last 2 n will be in Aarhus
From Aarhus : 1- drop car , fly to Oslo ? ( will be expensive if rent in Copenhagen and drop in Aarhus )
2-drive back to Copenhagen to drop car then fly from Copenhagen to Oslo
3- drive this Copenhagen rented car + ferry to Oslo ( again will be more expensive cause we need to drop this car in Bergen to fly to Evenes for Lofoten ( i already have air tickets from Bergen to Evenes and back to Copenhagen , will have car in Lofoten )
From Oslo , if use option 1 need car to drive from Oslo through a porttion of Aurlandsfjellet , stay 1 n in Laerdal thent o Bergen
Stay Bergen 2n then drop car to fly to Lofoten
i see a little too much get and drop car !
Any advice please !
Thank you
What is your itinerary for Denmark and why are you planning to drive to Århus? My suggestion would be the overnight ferry from Fredrikshavn to Oslo.
And when is this trip?
Hi
We will be in Copenhagen June 3th , stay until June 8th , 4 n in Copenhagen with 2 days trip to visit Helsingor , Kronborg castle , Frederksburg castle , June 7th and 8th we would like to visit Aarhus then to Oslo
Thank you for any suggestion
That still doesn't explain why you plan to have a car in Denmark and drive to Århus.
Hi
How can i move around without a car when i want to go from Copenhagen to my days trips and to Aarhus ? i have my 78 y o aunt with me so i would like may be easier to use car ( not in Copenhagen though )
Thanks
Badger would know better than I would, but you can't assume you'll be able to park a car right beside the sights you want to see; there could be some walking involved from the parking place (which you'd almost certainly be paying for, as well). If you take a train to the other towns you want to see, there will be taxis and quite likely also buses at the train station you can use to get to your actual destination.

We have things called trains in Europe. They are a great way to get from one town to another.
And as acraven mentioned, finding a place to park in Helsingør or Hillerød can be problematic or expensive. Or both. And driving is not the way I'd suggest if you want to go from Copenhagen to Århus.
Hi
Thank you for info
I finally figure out the 1 st leg : fly from home to Copenhagen ( arrive 7 am ) will take train to Aarhus same day and stay Aarhus 2 nights , then take train from Aarhus to Copenhagen , stay 4 n then fly from Copenhagen to Oslo !
I m from North America so subconsciously i m thingking of car when travel !😀( although when i was in Asia or Paris , used a lot of public transport )
I just left with renting a car in Oslo to drive to Bergen via Aurlandsfjellet and drop car in Bergen to fly to Lofoten ( already have air ticket )
Will see if the price of dropping car in Bergen will cause me a heart attack !
Thanks again
My suggestion would be to arrive in Copenhagen, spend some time there. Then take the train to Århus, and after you've done in Århus, fly from Århus to Copehagen. Or take the overnight ferry from Fredrikshavn. That will save you a bit of backtracking, but the catch is that there are no flights from Århus to Oslo on Saturdays, so you need to travel to Oslo on a weekday or Sunday.
