We just purchased the Rick Steves book on Norway and were disappointed there was not a recommended itinerary for 2 or weeks.

I'm not familiar with the book, but we spent 2½ weeks in Norway in 2023 and had a great time, no rental car involved.
We started in Kirkenes on the far northeastern coast for 2 nights and then traveled along the western coast to Bergen on the Hurtigruten coastal ferry. Afterwards we spent 2 nights in Bergen, an overnight in Flåm via a DIY Norway in a Nutshell and then 2 nights in Oslo. From Oslo we flew to Ålesund for 3 nights with 1 day cruising the Geirangerfjord and the next taking a full day excursion to Trollstigen.
