Hi all,
I'm looking to travel alone (woman in my 30's) to Stockholm, Copenhagen and "Norway in a Nutshell" and would like to do it in 7 days in October of November.
Questions for those of you who have traveled there:
1. Does this trip sound reasonable in 7 days? If you had to focus on two cities/regions, which two would you pick? How long would you stay in each cities?
2. Is traveling in October of November a good idea? How would the weather be? Would stores/shops/sightseeing open at reasonable hours?
3. What is the best route to cover all of the cities?
Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
This is a very aggressive shedule. You would basically have two nights, one day, in each location. The rest would be travel time. I think that you would be much happier to choose two out of the three. Also, I would go for an "open jaws" ticket. Fly into Copenhagen and fly out of Stockholm or Oslo.
I would take the train between cities.
I don't think that traveling in October or November is a problem. I spent a lot of time in Norway in the 1990s. I never noticed any travel issues due to the seasons. The day will be shorter, but these big cities with lots of lighting. The stores will still be open in the evening.
Good luck!
