Norway in a Nutshell AND Hurtigruten???

This March we be flying into Oslo for a few days including the World Cup, then on to Lillehammer for The Birken. Back to Oslo to take either the train or Norway in a Nutshell tour. Stay in Bergen for a few days. Then fly to Tromso for a few days. Board the Hurtigruten from Tromso to Bergen on their port to port ferry. Then on to Sweeden.

My question is since we are already booked on the Hurtigruten, would taking the Norway in a Nutshell tour be somewhat redundant or is it different enought that it is worth it? In case it matters, if we did the NiN, it would be in one day.

Thank You!

In May 2023 we took the Hurtigruten coastal cruise southbound from Kirkenes to Bergen, after a few days in Bergen we did a DIY Nutshell to Oslo overnighting in Flåm.

The ferry on the Naeroyfjord between Gudvangen and Flåm was one of the highlights of our trip. It was totally different than anything we saw along the coast with Hurtigruten.

FYI, there is a Porter Service available for transporting your bags from Oslo to Bergen if you don't want to carry them with you.

I threw me off a bit when you mentioned World Cup, but then I did a little research and realized you weren't talking about the soccer world cup but a Nordic World Cup.....

I think any time spent in Norway is worthwhile and I would definitely try to do both the cruise and NIN if you can.
