Just starting our planning process for a 3 week tour of Norway in a camper van- 1st 3 weeks of September. We’re planning on picking it up in Tromso and returning in Oslo spending our last 3 days in a hotel in Oslo. My question is- anyone have any recommendations of places we shouldn’t miss- especially in Lofoten and Senja. We plan on doing NIN as well. Campground suggestions? We’re avid hikers and love good food. No museums.
Did you find a rental company what allowes such a oneway-trip?
We travelled through Norway and Sweden a few times with our own camper-van, out of Germany, always in September. We never prebooked a campground. You'll find so many places and campgrounds just on the road. There is also an App which shows you the places where you can park for the night, for sure without really "camping". I don't link this website bc I know there are always people who don't like it, even if it is legal.

Tons of. For beginning I recommend you check Norway's scenic routes. Click on "Map" on the right side to get a quick overview of their locations.
Be aware: although the right to roam (Allemannsretten) allows broad and free access to nature, it does not include an unrestricted right to park caravans or motorhomes anywhere. Penalties can be expensive. Read more.
Mark, thank you for the link about camping. I only have to add:
Please take really ALL rubbish with you. We found so nice places, but when we went a few steps in the woods we found f.e. toilettpaper and tissues!!! I understand totally, that the locals are angry about such reckless people, and therefore more and more places have been closed up.
If you are going to Pulpit Rock, Jørpeland Bobilcamp was a nice place to park a camper (in a paved lot but the next to the water). There is an island with trails just offshore that you can get to via a walking bridge.

I can’t imagine a rental company that would forbid a one-way trip. One way rentals happen all the time. I booked one in July in Norway and will be picking it up in Oslo and dropping it off in Bergen. They usually do charge an extra fee but they tell you that fee ahead of time
