Looking into Hurtigurten cruise for summer trip.
Anyone have any comments about Hurtigurten or other possibilities?
Prefer one way returning by air or rail if poss. To oslo or Bergen.
Thx in advance

You may want to look at this other thread about the Hurtigruten: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/norway/full-coast-cruise-query
And in addition to any replies you get here, look at Cruise Critic. Here's their Hurtigruten Forum: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=821
We visited Bergen on a cruise out of Copenhagen and now want to do a cruise to the North Cape.
Hurtigurten has an interesting cruise that goes there. It is a bit more expensive than going on one of the mainstream cruise lines, but it visits many ports and because of its size can go more places with more scenery. However, many of the ports the ship is only there for minutes.
It does offer some excursions of some length in three or four ports, but they are expensive.
Compare what this line offers with Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line and you will find out that you get a larger cabin, with more entertainment available, and significantly less expensive.
On Hurtiguren you have to pay for things that are free on those other cruise lines. Alcohol is very expensive. It is not cheap on the main stream lines, but less so than H.
Check out all three.
