Looking for recommendations on where to spend 5-6 days in Norway. We are spending 6 days in Iceland doing glacier hiking and general hiking and than will fly to Norway. We would like to see the scenery and natural beauty of Norway. Normally we stay in hostels, pensions or Airbnb when we travel.

I highly recommend the area around Alesund! We spent a month there a couple of summers ago and there is LOTS to explore. The scenery is stunning and it is wild and clean.
The highlights in the area (IMHO) are
The Geirangerfjord
The Trollstigen Pass
Runde Island (take a bird tour with the guy who owns the boat Aquilla!)
The Kvernes Stave Church
The town of Alesund
Lighthouses
Hiking!
Alesund is big enough that there are Airbnb rentals as well as the other kinds of accommodation you list. It's the most centrally located town of any size in that area and a great base for exploring.
