My husband and will be driving a rental car from Bergen to Oslo early August (leaving Bergen in the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6 and arriving in Oslo the evening of Thursday, August 8). We will already have taken the train from Oslo the week before, including the Flam-Myrdal train trip, and seen Bergen and the fjords. We are looking for a scenic drive, historic areas, and would like to do a couple of day hikes along the way, preferably not a crowded one like the one to Pulpit Rock. Any suggestions for this 2-1/2 day road trip?
The scenic routes Hardanger, Ryfylke and Hardangervidda can help you:

Thanks, Mark. I will check this out.
Depending on which way you go, some nice sights along the way: Vøringfossen, the easy hike to Bondhusvatnet, Låtefossen, the Setesdal Valley, and Heddal stavkyrkje. Have a wonderful time. It's a beautiful area!
