MSC Euribia Norway

Hello all,
I will be taking this cruise and would like to know what tour to book with MSC and what I can really do on my own.
Ports of call are
Copenhauge -will do on own

Hellesylt

Alesund - I would like to do the Trollstigen road, I think I would rent a car for this or if any tours that are not MSC that can be recommended

Flam- Would book the MSC Flam train tour

Kiel

What fjords are easy to get to from these ports. Any and all thoughts, help much appreciated.

In 2023 we booked a day tour to Trollstigen with Localtrips AS. It was one of the highlights of our 2 plus weeks in Norway. We were not on a cruise. Our tour was in a minivan. I think they use minibuses when cruise ships are in Ålesund. Some of the tour companies use large coaches.

I would not recommend a car rental. The poor driver will be too busy focused on the road and not the wonderful views. Our tour also included several other stops of interest.

My daughter and I will be in Alesund in July and plan to see the Geirangerfjord. We will be seeing it from a Hurtigruten port-to-port ferry, but I know that there is a company that does tours from Alesund down the Geirangerfjord and back. I'm not sure how long they take and how much time you have, but you might want to check it out. https://www.geirangerfjord.no

I also know that you can get to the Geirangerfjord from Hellesylt. Here is a post from a year or so ago with more details on that. Not sure how feasible it is with the cruise, but it would be worth checking out. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/norway/getting-to-geiranger-via-hellesylt-ferry-or-stalheimskleiva-road-rte-55

I would not be able to give meaningful advice without knowing the date or minimum month of travel.

It is worth noting that on all calls of the Euribia this year (except 5 and 12 May) Hellesylt is a technical call only, as is normal- to disembark people for ship's overland tours to Geiranger.

Hellesylt and Geiranger are a joint cruise port- so it is a 45 minute call at Hellesylt to disembark ship's excursion passengers- unlikely to disembark independent passengers), then the ship proceeds to anchor (at location 4B/SW) off Geiranger, for tenders ashore there for the rest of the day. Those who left at Hellesylt in the morning rejoin at Geiranger by tender

On 5 and 12 May she stays alongside at Hellesylt all day.
